Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is seeking a Sr. Manager of Projects to oversee piping, welding, and mechanical construction programs.

This leadership role focuses on ensuring code-compliant execution across project lifecycles, reporting to the MMC Operations Director, and enabling remote work from anywhere in the United States. You will drive safety, quality, and schedule performance on complex projects, coordinating with engineering, QA, and field teams to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in industrial, power generation, or nuclear construction environments.
• Experience managing large-scale piping fabrication and installation projects involving carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy materials and specialty piping systems.
• Experience coordinating mechanical construction activities in accordance with ASME, AWS, API, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and project performance.
• Strong working knowledge of welding processes including GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW and NDE requirements.
• Proven ability to manage welding quality programs, turnover packages, code compliance documentation, and jurisdictional inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and oversight of major mechanical construction projects (piping systems, fabrication, welding).
• Manage all phases of piping construction including design coordination, procurement, fabrication, installation, hydro-testing and turnover.
• Ensure welding activities comply with codes and standards (ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section IX, AWS) and project requirements.
• Review and approve welding procedures (WPS), PQRs and welder qualification records.
• Resolve complex mechanical, piping, and welding issues while minimizing impacts to schedule and budget.
• Interface with engineering, QA and construction teams to ensure constructability and successful piping system execution.
