Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead piping design activities across front-end and detailed engineering, serving as the mechanical lead on projects. You will coordinate with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure high‑quality deliverables and code compliance.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and experience with ASME/API standards. This remote, full-time position supports projects nationwide with hybrid collaboration and strong career growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• PE license with ability to register with NCEES and in other states.
• Experience with ASME BPVC and PV Elite.
• Strong communication and leadership in a team environment.
• Consulting experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering design activities in FEED and detailed engineering.
• Interface with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines to support deliverables.
• Lead mechanical equipment specifications and selection activities for FEED and detailed engineering.
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.x, API and client standards.
• Develop equipment specifications, data sheets, and vendor quotes.
