Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Sr. Piping Technician to repair, replace, and upgrade critical UPW and IWT piping in the Fab. You will work with minimal supervision on advanced assignments, reading prints, and diagnosing field piping issues to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires 7+ years of piping experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a Plumbing license or equivalent. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits accompany onsite duties at the Austin fab.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school certification preferred (State Plumbing License or equivalent).
• Typically requires 7+ years of piping experience.
• Ability to read and understand prints; diagnose field piping issues.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, and caulking.
• Operate soldering, brazing, and welding equipment for installations.
• Read and interpret technical prints and blueprints to ensure precise execution.
• Diagnose piping malfunctions and implement necessary corrections in the field.
• Prioritize daily tasks and work with little supervision on new projects.
• Communicate effectively with customers and supervision.
