Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Superintendent for the Rio Grande LNG project in Brownsville, TX. You will lead a team of craft professionals, supervise operations, coordinate subcontract work and ensure compliance with schedules and Bechtel standards.

The role requires 5–8 years’ experience in heavy industrial construction, LNG/oil & gas, and a bachelor’s degree. Travel, shift flexibility and relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation relating to field activities.
• Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy and awareness of ES&H documents and core processes.
• Experience on LNG construction site, especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction.
• Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise craft activities and direct discipline supervision up to 25 craft.
• Schedule work and review progress for each craft.
• Determine workforce requirements and coordinate area operational plans.
• Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site and ensure tools are available.
• Prepare Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables.
• Ensure the most current design documents are used and changes approved.
• Ensure subcontractors’ performance meets specs, schedules and budgets.
• Interpret engineering designs with Field Engineers, Foremen and Craft Professionals; coordinate with Subcontractors.
