Job summary

Sargent & Lundy, based in Chicago, IL, is searching for a Senior Piping Engineer to provide technical direction and supervision on projects. The ideal candidate should have a P.E. license, and significant experience in piping engineering with knowledge of ASME codes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a P.E. license.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in piping engineering.
• BS/MS in a relevant field from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level technical direction and supervision to project team members.
• Coordinate activities between disciplines and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Review and approve complex system designs and calculations.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes

Strong written and verbal communication skills

10 or more years of relevant experience

Education

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace or Structural/Civil Engineering

P.E. license

Tools

AutoPIPE or PIPESTRESS software
