Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking a mechanical engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems and perform related analyses on a range of process equipment. You will size components, prepare technical drawings, and support safety reviews and commissioning under senior guidance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least two years of piping/fluids experience, with exposure to drafting tools and adherence to safety codes. Q security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment; knowledge of sizing, pressure-drop, pipe-stress, codes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize facility piping systems.
• Size mechanical components.
• Prepare and update technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress analyses.
• Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, factory acceptance testing, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting under senior staff guidance.
