Job summary

ITAC in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to lead piping design efforts across multiple projects in heavy industrial settings.

You will develop design criteria, specifications, and workflow with multi-discipline teams, coordinate with clients, ensure compliance with ASME B31.3/B31.1, and advance 3D models using AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and NavisWorks. PE is required or in process; strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required or actively pursuing licensure.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in design engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, and piping design software.
• Experience with process piping systems for power generation, chemicals, or food & beverage industries.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering efforts for assigned projects, track budget and schedule.
• Develop piping design criteria for all project stages and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop process specifications for equipment selection and procurement.
• Interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards to meet requirements.
• Present designs to clients and coordinate modifications as needed.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to optimize designs and project outcomes.
