Job summary

Audubon Companies seeks a Senior Piping Designer to design piping equipment, components, structures, or systems. The role involves preparing complete design packages, detailed drawings, BOMs, and change control in a field-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include CAD-based layouts, drafting revisions, interfacing with clients and vendors, and ensuring compliance with HSSE standards. Offshore/onshore experience is advantageous for project leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a technical institution preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience is preferred.
• AutoCAD software experience required.
• CADWorx software experience required.
• PDMS software experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office software experience preferred.
• Field experience required.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry required.
• Small/Medium project lead experience required.
• Large project lead experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand drawing markups to determine drafting requirements.
• Ability to utilize conventional drafting tools and CAD software to execute drafting requirements.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages including preliminary, conceptual, and construction deliverables.
• Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies with projections and standard specs.
• Interpret directions to initiate preliminary designs.
• Assist with stress analysis, procurement, calculations, and estimates.
• Check sketches and drawings for project applicability and cost efficiency.
• Verify accuracy of drawings and as-built documentation.
• Prepare BOMs and procurement lists.
• Revise documents per engineering changes and ECOs.
• Assemble information from multiple sources for design.
• Identify dimensions, tolerances and materials for construction.
• Produce layouts using 2D/3D CAD software for piping systems.
• Create technical specs to facilitate procurement, fabrication, and installation.
• Assist with field surveys and documentation of existing conditions.
