Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Cameron, LA is seeking a Senior Piping Designer to join our project team. You will develop piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models, coordinating with project managers and engineers to meet project objectives.

The role requires applying ASME, ANSI, API standards, conducting design reviews and HAZOP studies, and ensuring deliverables align with VG and regulatory requirements. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 5+ years of design experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' previous design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS, or SmartPlant3D.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
• Experience with 3D modeling and clash detection tools.
• Familiarity with construction and installation practices.
• Understanding of project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and VG to clarify scope and objectives.
• Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models using industry-standard software.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, codes (ASME, API), and best practice.
• Conduct regular design reviews and ensure alignment across disciplines.
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping systems.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and client presentations.
• Address technical queries and manage design changes effectively.
