Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a seasoned Lead Designer to supervise a team of designers, directing mechanical and piping deliverables from concept through startup. You will ensure timely delivery within budget and quality expectations, while mentoring staff and coordinating across disciplines.

The ideal candidate brings 20+ years in mechanical/piping drafting, extensive CAD skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation), and a strong grasp of design standards and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Extensive 20+ years of mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.
• Familiarity with piping materials, supports, valve sizing, and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the design team to deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and ensure adherence to codes and standards.
• Participate in startup on-site and mentor staff across disciplines.
• Develop installation specifications and construction cost estimates.
