Job summary

Campos Fabrication is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to lead takeoffs, bid packages, and drawings for fabrication projects in New Hampshire. The role involves coordinating with QAQC and engineering teams to ensure accurate drawings and compliant workmanship, including heat-number tracing and weld maps.

The candidate will oversee hydrostatic testing design and calibration, maintain essential code paperwork, and travel to project sites to support startup.

Qualifications

• BSME degree required.
• Minimum 6+ years experience.
• Working knowledge of construction standards and codes ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project takeoffs for weld count and materials.
• Develop bid packages for required materials and services with outside vendors.
• Coordinate with QAQC team to support drawing preparation.
• Develop pipe drawings and weld maps with heat number tracing and welds.
• Coordinate with Electrical, structural, and process engineering teams for total package development.
• Design hydrostatic tests and supervise testing, maintaining test gauge calibration.
• Maintain all required code paperwork for each project.
• Travel to project sites to assist in startup of fabricated equipment.
• Prepare purchase orders to vendors.
• Review project plans and schedule changes to keep on time and on budget while meeting client specifications.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, safety rules, and client policies.
