Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a seasoned Design Engineer for mechanical/piping systems. The role involves developing complex piping drawings from P&ID, GA drawings, and specifications, with on-site startup support.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in industrial piping design, strong knowledge of ASME/ASTM standards, and proficiency with Plantspace, Cadworx, Autoplant, PDS or PDMS. This position is based in the United States, on-site at the Baytown, TX location.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in Engineering Technology or CAD drafting.
• 8+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Familiarity with piping materials, supports and safety valve selection.

Responsibilities

• Designs complex mechanical/piping drawings from P&IDs, GA’s and equipment drawings.
• Lead a small design team and coordinate with disciplines under general supervision.
• Perform field design, site surveys, and construction support including startup activity.
