Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Mapping Designer – Pipeline Systems in Denver, CO to lead mapping and design for upstream, midstream, and distribution projects, ensuring quality, constructability, and safety.

You will mentor designers, manage deliverables, support route development, engage customers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.

This role offers visibility across major programs and contributes to Worley's commitment to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of pipeline mapping and design experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D (2018+).
• Strong ArcGIS and geospatial data knowledge.
• Experience with route selection and permitting requirements.
• Ability to lead technical work and mentor designers.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Design Manager and technical lead for large pipeline projects.
• Lead development, review, and approval of mapping deliverables including strip maps and alignment sheets.
• Perform advanced mapping and corridor design using Civil 3D.
• Apply GIS to routing studies and project execution.
• Coordinate with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior designers and promote quality.
• Support schedule, workload, and cost management.
• Participate in field activities for route validation.
• Champion HSE and quality culture across projects.
