Job summary

Tallgrass MLP Operations, LLC is seeking a design engineer to provide engineering design and scope development for facility expansions, supporting business development objectives. You will aid in OCC and Field Operations, identify hydraulic optimization opportunities, and coordinate capacity across interstate pipelines in alignment with tariffs and regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, strong Excel/VBA skills, and familiarity with FERC and pipeline compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with exposure to regulated energy environments.
• Familiarity with FERC standards and related policies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual engineering design and scope for expansion projects.
• Work with project managers, field teams, and contractors through design to implementation.
• Develop and maintain transportation/hydraulic capacity models (WinFlow/NextGen).
• Use real-time transient models to support OCC in pipeline status forecasts.
• Coordinate capacity transactions with marketing and scheduling, update Connect system.
• Ensure regulatory filings and operational improvements are supported.
