Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's SE Region is seeking experienced Pipeline Engineers to join our Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; or Chattanooga, TN offices. You will lead pipeline design deliverables, coordinate surveys, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and land acquisition, and mentor junior engineers while supporting project proposals and schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (ABET), 7 years of pipeline experience, knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation, and PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 7 years of pipeline engineering experience required; EPC project experience preferred.
• Or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related ABET-accredited program, FE exam completed, and 7 years of pipeline engineering experience; EPC experience preferred.
• Or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 6 years of pipeline engineering experience; EPC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the execution of pipeline design activities including plans, profiles, details, and BOMs.
• Coordinate to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and land acquisition.
• Provide engineering calculations for studies and reports and prepare material specifications.
• Lead preparation of proposals, scope, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Coordinate design with Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
