Job summary

Century Contractors, LLC in Wilson, NC is seeking a Combination Pipe Welder to weld, fabricate and assist pipe fitters in installing industrial piping systems on project sites.

Candidates should have 4+ years of experience welding on various pipe grades and sizes, be able to read blueprints, and operate arc, TIG and submerged arc welding processes. A reliable transportation and ability to work at heights are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience welding on industrial size and grade pipe (Schedules 40, 80, 160).
• Able to weld in 2G, 4G and 6G positions.
• Read blueprints, technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless and chrome pipes.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Weld, fabricate and assist pipe fitters in installation of pipe systems.
• Layout, align, cut, assemble and fit metal components.
• Document weld information and create weld maps.
• Set up equipment and weld with arc, TIG, submerged arc.
• Identify safety risks and comply with PPE requirements.
