Job Description:

The Senior Pipe Stress Engineer provides essential administrative processes, technical expertise, and leadership. This role aims to enhance Fluor’s competitiveness in the global marketplace by delivering high-quality, valuable, and technically proficient services. The position may serve as an Area Lead or Lead on projects or handle complex engineering assignments, applying advanced techniques to a broad set of challenging tasks.

• Develop and review estimates, schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts.
• Apply cost-effective engineering techniques to develop the most economical project solutions for discipline engineering work.
• Establish, track, and monitor material quantities; provide analysis and forecasts.
• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
• Participate in piping, equipment, and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.
• Perform and verify calculations, specify equipment, and resolve complex engineering problems.
• Conduct static and dynamic stress analyses of piping systems.
• Create data sheets for engineered supports and components.
• Review vendor documentation for compliance with project requirements.
• Manage, monitor, and lead a team of stress engineers.
• Contribute to people development through mentoring, training material development, seminars, and performance reviews.
• Analyze and independently recommend solutions for pipe stress problems of varying complexity.
• Travel as required to support project and department goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
