Summary/Objective

Responsible for utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other software to model, coordinate, and prepare detailed drawings for mechanical systems.

Essential Functions

• Generate mechanical pipe models based on project specifications, design drawings, control diagrams, submittals, RFIs, and modeling software.
• Update drawings, models, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and submittals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the build and design team to prevent construction errors due to design flaws.
• Manage time effectively across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with trades, project management, site superintendents, and shop personnel to identify and resolve problems.
• Create and communicate RFIs specific to projects and trades.
• Manage spools, fabrication drawings, site installation maps, and control documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

No supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in mechanical piping and process pipe trades or equivalent vocational training, OR 5+ years of BIM experience using Revit, CAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, follow instructions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Availability to work assigned schedules.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work environment includes a professional office setting and potential visits to construction sites. Physical demands include routine use of standard office equipment.

Travel

May require infrequent travel, typically not overnight.

Additional Requirements

• Prior military experience preferred.
• HS diploma or GED required.
