Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation in New Jersey seeks a full-time attorney with an insurance defense background to handle New Jersey and New York Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation. The attorney would manage a high-volume docket, conduct depositions, prepare pleadings, and participate in arbitrations and trials.

The ideal candidate is fully licensed in New Jersey with five+ years of PIP experience; New York Bar admission is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least five years of PIP experience (NJ/NY).
• Fully licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
• New York Bar admission is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of NJ Rules of Evidence and Civil Procedure; No-Fault arbitration rules.
• Ability to work independently and in a paperless environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of a high-volume pending caseload (350+ cases).
• Conduct depositions and Examinations Under Oath.
• Attend court conferences, arbitrations, motions and trials.
• Prepare PIP arbitration submissions and upload to Forthright or AAA.
• Input and maintain information in the case management system.
• Provide legal research and direction to Claims on complex cases.
• Handle special projects as needed.
