Job summary

Plymouth Rock Management Company of New Jersey seeks a full-time attorney with an insurance defense background to handle PIP litigation in New Jersey and New York. The attorney will analyze arbitration demands or lawsuits, prepare submissions, conduct depositions, and attend arbitrations, conferences, motions and trials, with both virtual and in-person appearances.

The role requires at least five years of PIP experience, NJ licensure, and a strong grasp of NJ Evidence and Civil Procedure, as

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant PIP experience.
• Fully licensed to practice in New Jersey.
• New York Bar admission is a plus but not required.
• Ability to analyze complex litigation and prepare action plans addressing issues and defenses.
• Strong knowledge of NJ Rules of Evidence, Civil Procedure, and No-Fault arbitration rules.
• Capable of working independently, in a paperless environment, and communicating decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high-volume pending caseload (350+ cases).
• Conduct depositions and Examinations Under Oath.
• Attend court conferences, arbitrations, motions and trials.
• Prepare PIP arbitration submissions and upload to Forthright or AAA.
• Input and maintain data in the case management system with accuracy.
• Provide legal research and direction to Claims on complex cases.
• Tackle special projects as needed.
