Job summary

Panthalassa is seeking a Senior Pilot Production Technician to define and standardize how node components are manufactured and assembled. You will create process documentation emphasizing quality and clarity, train the growing team, and help drive safe, efficient production on complex electronic assemblies.

You will collaborate with Engineering to refine procedures, perform tests, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining high safety standards and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a high-paced production environment.
• Hands-on experience completing electronic assemblies and PCBAs.
• Proficient with test equipment and fabrication tools.
• Experience with high voltage electronics and ESD best practices.
• Familiar with vibration and thermal testing systems.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Experience with factory production software (ERP, MRP, QMS, MES).
• Experience leading/training team members.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software (NX, Fusion, SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Complete top-level electronic assemblies and PCBA rework as needed.
• Perform acceptance tests (electrical, vibe, thermal) on assemblies.
• Assemble depth-rated enclosures and panel wiring.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment.
• Lead/root-cause analysis for production non-conformances.
• Collaborate with Engineering to incorporate lessons learned.
• Develop testing procedures for components and assemblies.
• Track on-time completion to meet production goals.
• Help create training programs and work instructions.
• Assist in station design and floor layout for safety/quality.
