Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS with four years’ experience or advanced degree with two years’ experience, or equivalent mix.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and more than 50 pounds occasionally.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, basic networking, and CAD.
• Ability to convey clear directions to students and faculty during labs.
• Ability to assess potential budget impacts of purchases and activities.

Responsibilities

• Lab and teaching support: setup/teardown, equipment maintenance, TA scheduling.
• Fabrication: assist with small jobs and refurbish lab items.
• Safety: serve as department safety coordinator and liaise with ES&H office.
• IT: maintain teaching lab computers, manage product usage and imaging.
• Other projects: capital equipment, facilities coordination, space management, displays.
