Job summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking a dedicated SPA Lab Services Coordinator to drive educational programs and technology improvements for the School of Physics and Astronomy. You will manage budgets, support active classes, and develop resources for upcoming semesters.

You will oversee demonstrations, safety training, and collaboration with faculty to enhance curriculum and online learning. A BA/BS in Physics or related field is required with relevant lab experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Physics or related field with relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience with laboratory work, computing, and instructor support.
• Basic electrical and mechanical repair or modification skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead educational programs and resources for SPA with budget oversight.
• Develop and test materials, experiments, and simulations for introductory labs.
• Manage Canvas course sites and content for the SPA curriculum.
• Provide lab training and support to faculty, grads, and staff.
• Oversee demonstration services and safety program coordination.
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum and online learning tools.
