Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Senior Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, team-based patient care under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities include office, hospital, ED and perioperative duties, with possible first assist in the OR and on-call support.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of PA experience, CA PA license, ARC-PA program graduate, and BLS. Fluoroscopy permit within 18 months may be required depending on department.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as a physician assistant in the last five years.
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
• California Physician Assistant License, NPI and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide team-based patient care under supervising physician.
• Perform comprehensive exams, order and interpret tests, and develop care plans.
• Deliver injections, immunizations, wound care and infection management.
• Assists in surgeries or perioperative procedures as applicable.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Manage on-call responsibilities and facilitate admissions/discharges as needed.
