Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program by start date.
• Physician Assistant License (California) required at hire.
• Physician Assistant National Certificate required at hire.
• Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Provide team-based, patient-focused care under supervising physician.
• Manage patients in office, hospital, ED and/or perioperative settings.
• First assist in the OR or perform department procedures.
• Facilitate on-call responsibilities for supervising physician.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress notes.
• Counsel patients regarding therapy compliance, growth, development, and health maintenance.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and postoperative rounds.
• Assess patient charts, allergies and vital signs and report deviations to supervising physician.
