Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a Senior Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, team-based patient care under supervision. Responsibilities include managing patients in office, hospital, ED and perioperative settings, with possible first assist in OR and on-call duties.

You will mentor less experienced PAs and contribute to clinical and operational excellence, with potential evening or weekend hours based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of PA experience in the last five years.
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• California PA license required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Practice as part of a team under supervising physician.
• Conduct comprehensive exams and record medical history.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Assist in surgeries and perioperative care as applicable.
• Develop and implement patient management plans.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and care.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
• Mentor less experienced PAs and participate in performance improvement activities.
