Job summary

Pavilion on Pico Healthcare & Wellness Center in Los Angeles, CA seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care in our rehabilitation department. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with physicians and the rehabilitation team to optimize outcomes.

You will supervise PT assistants and aides, document care per regulatory standards, educate families, and participate in team conferences to support ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Physical Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of the principles of physical modalities employed in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic devices ambulatory aids, assistive and resistive devices, and training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of patients.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Current Physical Therapist Registration/State Licensure as required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients; document progress in medical records.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approvals.
• Supervise PTAs/other PTs and/or Aides in direct patient care per Facility Policy and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
• Instruct families/nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Interview patients/families about prior function and recovery goals.
• Integrate findings from the interdisciplinary team; contribute to rehab team conferences.
