Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver advanced PT services including evaluation, goal setting, and treatment plan development in collaboration with leadership.

The role requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Maryland licensure, 4 years of licensed PT experience, and current BLS; strong communication and mentoring skills are valued. This on-site position includes participation in program development and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree required.
• Maryland state licensure as Physical Therapist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced physical therapy services to patients in accordance with standards and policies.
• Performs patient assessments and develops individualized treatment plans to improve movement and manage pain.
• Records patient evaluations and care in medical records per documentation standards.
• Informs patients and families of results and plans for treatment; refers for further evaluation.
• Plans and provides therapy education and counseling to individuals.
• Mentors and supervises rehabilitation team members and supports development efforts.
• Collaborates with leadership on program development and performance improvement.
