Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join Therapy - Timonium in the Baltimore–Washington metro region. The PT will screen and evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, document progress, and participate in program development to meet goals.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Physical Therapy and MD/DC/VA licensure as needed for the location, with BLS certification. The role involves mentoring students and coordinating care across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Maryland, DC and/or VA licensure required as deemed necessary for your location(s).
• American Heart Association’s BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services including review of historical information, assessments, and documentation of results.
• Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family; involves patient/family in goal setting.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation; adjusts as needed.
• Consults with other healthcare professionals.
• Modifies plan of care as patient condition changes; arranges medical/rehabilitation consults as needed.
• Discharges planning and follow-up care; documents and bills for services.
• Manages scheduling and time effectively to meet productivity expectations.
• Acts as clinical instructor and mentors staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.

Education

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
