RAND Washington D.C. seeks a Manager, Physical Security to lead and coordinate a 24/7 security program across all RAND locations, including access control, surveillance, and incident response. The role requires 100% in-office work with occasional travel and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities include compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705, and DoD policies, vendor and budget management, staff development, audits, business continuity, and liaison with government partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 10+ years of relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS); 6+ years of relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical security operations across all RAND locations.
• Oversee a comprehensive 24/7 security program including access control, intrusion detection, fire/life safety, video surveillance, and contract guard services.
• Advise leadership on compliance with federal, state, and local security regulations (NISPOM, ICD 705, DoD 5205.21).
• Lead planning for classified spaces (SCIFs, SAPFs) and accreditation.
• Manage audits, vendor relationships, budgets, and security metrics.
• Supervise staff, set goals, and drive continuous improvement.
