Job summary

NV5 is seeking an experienced engineer to design and supervise security, IT/tele communications, and life-safety systems for building projects. The role involves multi-project leadership, CAD/BIM delivery, and ensuring code compliance.

The position may be NYC-based, remote from the NYC area, or hybrid. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, and professional licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; licensure eligibility is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, design and construction disciplines.
• Certifications, credentialing, and/or Professional Engineering licensure or eligibility.
• Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field surveys, assessments, studies, reports and staff deliverables.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, specifications, and construction drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and BlueBeam.
• Ensure code compliance and oversee project budgets, schedules, and vendor research.
• Coordinate with engineering and architectural teams and guide clients on technology selection.
• Review drawings for bidding and permitting and manage project meetings and site visits.
