Job summary

Meta seeks a Network Production Engineer to design scalable physical infra for backbone POPs and ILA huts. You will translate IP/topology into rack layouts, power needs and fiber plans, coordinating with sourcing and vendors to scale our network.

The role requires 6+ years in telecom/hyperscale environments, strong fiber knowledge, and the ability to convert designs into physical builds with clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years designing physical infrastructure / fiber-optic infrastructure (OSP/ISP) in telecom or hyperscale environments.
• Strong fiber fundamentals: single-mode/multimode, LC/MPO, fusion/splicing, OTDR/testing, optical budgets.
• Ability to translate network/optical designs into physical builds: racks, power, fiber counts, layouts.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer and implement scalable physical infrastructure for backbone POPs, ILA huts and midpoints.
• Produce material forecasts and BOMs for manufacturers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to evolve network topology.
• Create engineering documentation and represent designs in reviews.
