EnCharge AI in Bangalore is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Physical Design Engineer specializing in floorplanning and PDN design. You will not only push buttons but bridge RTL/Systems with final GDSII, driving PPA balance for high-performance cores.

You will own chip-top floorplanning for complex SoCs, leading strategies that optimize power, performance, and area while ensuring robust power integrity. This role requires leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Physical Design experience with multiple tape-outs at advanced nodes.
• Experience with floorplanning and PDN design in large-scale SoCs.
• Proficient in IR-drop and electromigration analysis.
• Automation scripting skills in Tcl/Python/Perl for design flows.
• Ability to influence RTL/architecture decisions through design thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead chip-level floorplanning, macro placement, pin assignment, and partition definition for multi-million gate designs.
• Architect and implement complex PDN networks and define metal stack usage to balance performance and power integrity.
• Perform IR-drop and EM analyses and propose fixes without timing penalties.
• Collaborate with RTL and Architecture to influence micro-architecture for physical outcomes.
• Develop and standardize floorplanning and PDN synthesis flows for the team.
