Job summary

Velaio in LATAM is seeking an experienced PHP & WordPress Webmaster to manage, secure, and enhance our web platforms. You will own the website ecosystem, including WordPress development, server administration, hosting infrastructure, DNS, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on WordPress work, custom PHP development, MySQL experience, and the ability to collaborate with security and hosting teams to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Advanced PHP development experience.
• Strong WordPress administration and development experience.

• WP Engine administration experience.
• DNS management and troubleshooting.
• SSL certificate management.
• Web hosting and server administration.
• Website performance optimization and caching technologies.
• Cloudflare or similar CDN/WAF platforms.
• Website security best practices and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the website lifecycle from development through production.
• Monitor website health, uptime, performance, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform regular audits, maintenance, upgrades, and testing across WordPress and PHP sites.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery processes, and restoration testing.
• Administer WordPress environments across development, staging, and production.
• Install, configure, update, and maintain plugins, themes, and WordPress core.
• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom PHP applications and integrations.
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases and queries.
• Configure hosting environments, DNS, SSL, and server resources.
• Implement security best practices and monitor for vulnerabilities.
• Support third-party integrations and APIs; automate maintenance tasks.
