Job summary

Design Hire LLC in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an experienced PHP/WordPress developer to lead client-focused web projects. You will create custom PHP functionality, build WordPress themes/plugins, and manage VPS hosting environments for secure, fast sites.

You will coordinate project timelines, perform demonstrations, and optimize sites for SEO, Core Web Vitals, and performance. Strong troubleshooting and independent work skills are essential for success in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

3+ years in PHP & WordPress development (5+ preferred).
Custom WordPress development with themes and plugins.
Experience managing VPS servers (GoDaddy/AWS or similar).
Knowledge of SSL, firewalls, and malware prevention.
Familiarity with SEO, Core Web Vitals, and performance optimization.
Experience developing API integrations & custom post types.
Strong troubleshooting, able to work independently or in a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead client-facing development discussions, gather requirements, define scope, and demonstrate progress.
Create custom PHP functionality and API integrations per client needs.
