Job summary

Hack The Box is seeking a Senior PHP Engineer to strengthen the back end of HTB Business. You will develop features with Laravel, maintain APIs, and contribute to system architecture while collaborating with QA, product managers, and frontend teams.

The role embraces remote/hybrid work across Europe and relocation options, with support for Athens relocation and travel within a global team. The ideal candidate has extensive PHP, MVC framework experience, RESTful API design, and a security-minded

Qualifications

• Proven OOP experience in PHP applications.
• Experience with Laravel, Symfony, Springboot or similar MVC frameworks.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of HTTP and web protocols.
• Strong relational database knowledge.
• Experience with PHPUnit or similar testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently.
• Cyber security awareness is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and tools using the Laravel PHP Framework.
• Generate clean, safe, reusable and scalable PHP code.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to architectural and software design decisions.
• Review code and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with frontend developers using Vue.js to integrate UI with server logic.
