adiutaByte GmbH in Germany seeks a Senior PHP Developer to contribute to our smartAware learning platform. You will develop new features, optimize existing ones, and uphold code quality within an interdisciplinary Scrum team.

You will apply SOLID, Clean Code, and TDD, work with MySQL databases, and explore AI-powered development tools while shaping technical standards and development processes. This fully remote role can be performed from anywhere in Germany.

Qualifications

• Extensive software development experience.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer (m/w/d) to join our interdisciplinary Scrum team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of our digital learning platform, smartAware®. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enhancing existing functionalities, developing new features, and implementing technical standards that ensure the platform remains at the forefront of digital education in the healthcare sector. Your expertise will help us make professional training in nursing more accessible, efficient, and sustainable. The role is based in Germany and can be performed entirely from any location within the country.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field and has extensive experience in software development. You should be proficient in developing and maintaining MySQL databases and applying modern software architecture principles. Experience with SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Test-Driven Development is essential. Knowledge of AI-supported and AI-native software development is highly desirable, along with the ability to evaluate AI tools critically and responsibly. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities include developing new features to expand the functionality of our learning platform, optimizing existing features for better user experience, and ensuring code quality through reviews and testing. You will embed Clean Code principles into daily development tasks and utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and quality. Additionally, you will participate in architectural decisions, contribute to defining technical standards, and actively shape development processes. Working closely with the Scrum team, you will participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring seamless operation and continuous improvement of our applications. You will also evaluate AI integration opportunities within the development workflow and ensure the responsible use of AI tools.
