Qualifications

• 5+ years of PHP web application software engineering experience.
• Expert knowledge of relational databases, indexing, and searching technologies.
• Experience with API-driven design and development.
• Good product sense and empathy for our customers.
• Strong Git fundamentals and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features and improvements in PHP.
• Design and build the APIs and integrations the booking flow depends on.
• Model and evolve the data behind availability, pricing, and reservations.
• Own performance, scalability, and reliability of services at scale.
• Migrate core platform to microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Lead discussions on complex topics with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Write clean, well-tested code and documentation.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and ship high-quality features.
• Mentor teammates through pair programming and reviews.
• Re-architect and refactor systems and define long-term tech vision.
