Job summary

MediaTek in Irvine, CA designs, simulates, and tests photonic IC blocks such as modulators, filters and detectors. You will develop mathematical models for co-simulation with electronic circuits and contribute to integration and testing of Photonic & Electronic ICs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system performance.

The role requires PhD in EE/Physics or MS with 5+ years of experience, proficiency in Cadence and programming in Python or MATLAB, and strong communication

Qualifications

• PhD in EE or physics (or MS with 5+ years industry experience).
• Strong knowledge of optical transceiver design and system requirements.
• Proficient in photonic device design, layout, and simulation.
• Cadence and mixed-signal simulation proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate and test photonic IC building blocks.
