Job summary

The role requires a PhD in EE or Physics or an MS with 5+ years of industry experience, strong Cadence and mixed-signal skills, and proficiency in Python or MATLAB for design automation.

Qualifications

• PhD in EE or Physics or MS with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Solid understanding of optical transceiver design and system-level requirements.
• Proficient in the design, layout, and simulation of photonic devices.
• Proficient with Cadence design environment and mixed-signal simulation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate and test photonic IC building blocks (modulators, filters, detectors).
• Develop mathematical models for co-simulation with electronic circuits.
• Integrate and test photonic and electronic ICs with cross-functional teams to optimize performance.
• Create design-automation scripts in Python or MATLAB.
