Job summary

OpenLight Photonics is seeking a Photonic Systems and High-Speed Modeling Engineer to perform hands-on lab-based testing and analysis of photonic components, PICs, and systems, while leading projects with ecosystem partners and customers to ensure platform compatibility for communications, lidar, quantum computing, and sensing.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related field.
• Relevant experience in design, test, and debug of photonic and high-speed systems, particularly transceivers.
• Proficiency with RF/optical modeling and standard laboratory test equipment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Photonic System and High-Speed Modeling: RF modeling of small and large-signal performance of high-speed components on PCBs and substrates.
• Internal and External Communication: Generate customer-facing documentation and collaborate with partners.
