Millennium Physician Group in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Laboratory Phlebotomy Technician to perform routine and moderately complex blood collection across patient settings. The role supports specimen labeling, transport, and patient comfort while ensuring specimen integrity.

Requirements include phlebotomy certification or equivalent, 4+ years in a lab, and knowledge of labeling protocols and common tests. Full-time with benefits and a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or equivalent certification.
• 4+ years of experience in Lab environments.
• Knowledge of labeling/ID protocols and common lab tests, sample types, and vacutainers.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary collection, and other approved specimen collection procedures.
• Review test orders, patient identifiers, collection timing, and handling requirements.
• Label, store, and route specimens to maintain chain of custody and specimen integrity.
• Document collection activity, specimen issues, patient refusals, and unsuccessful attempts.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies, collection areas, and equipment per infection control standards.
• Communicate collection issues to laboratory and care-team partners.
