Job summary

Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist to support our Laboratory Services in a busy hospital environment. You will perform phlebotomy, receive specimens in the LIS, label, transport, centrifuge and aliquot, while assisting with sendouts and test workflows.

The role requires phlebotomy and computer skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and strong customer service in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and computer skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Phlebotomy or medical assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy in accordance with established protocols.
• Receive specimens into LIS, label, transport, centrifuge and aliquot.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to reference labs.
• Enter lab charges and CPT codes for tests.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and respond to patient questions.
