Baptist Health in Miami, FL is hiring a Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy and specimen handling in a fast-paced hospital laboratory. You will receive, label, transport, centrifuge, and aliquot specimens and process sendouts to national reference labs, while ensuring accuracy in the LIS and CPT coding.

Ideal candidates have a phlebotomy or MEDICAL ASSISTANT certificate, 2+ years of experience, and strong patient communication skills in a demanding environment. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant credential.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate required; renewal not required.
• 1+ year specimen processing and sendouts experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills in a high-volume environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform phlebotomy according to established protocols.
• Receive specimens into LIS; label, transport, centrifuge, and aliquot.
• Assist with sendouts and reference lab tests; enter CPT codes.
• Distribute specimens to testing sections per priority (STAT).
• Document lab charges and ensure accurate data in LIS.
