Responsibilities

• Assists in determining suitability of donors for plasmapheresis.
• Responds to and assists with handling donor reactions per guidelines.
• Monitors donor and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
• Sets up, disconnects and operates automated plasmapheresis machines and documents exceptions.
• Ensures calibration and maintenance of autopheresis machines and related equipment.
• Maintains clean work area and proper disposal of contaminated materials.
• Maintains thorough production documentation.
• Builds rapport with donors to support long-term donation.
• Adheres to state/federal regulations and SOPs (FDA, CLIA, OSHA, cGMP).
• Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor and covers cross-training for other areas.
