Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist II in Chicago, IL. The role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will verify patient information, label specimens correctly, and ensure a clean, safe environment while interacting with patients to explain procedures. The candidate should have 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, strong customer service, and be able to work Monday-Friday

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Verify patient demographics and initials post-venipuncture to ensure proper labeling.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Travel to multiple locations as needed to cover Patient Service Center / In-Office Phlebotomy locations.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence and confidentiality.
