Our Client, a Medical Research company in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join their team. You will draw blood samples, prep specimens for lab testing, and interact with patients in a respectful, professional manner.

This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to established procedures. Requirements include a high school diploma, phlebotomy experience, and data entry skills; certification preferred. On-site work with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time; maintain a safe and professional environment.
