Our Client in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join a medical research-oriented team. You will collect quality blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and explain procedures to patients with care and professionalism.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, phlebotomy experience, and strong data entry skills; certification is preferred. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, confidentiality, and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing.
• Explains procedures to patients and draws blood in a safe and accurate manner.
• Displays leadership behaviors while focusing on confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Performs daily activities accurately and on time under the area supervisor; maintains a safe, professional environment.
• Maintains required records and documentation; promotes a positive image to patients and staff.
