Job summary

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our dynamic healthcare team in Fairbanks, Alaska. This role focuses on the collection and receipt of biological specimens, accurate data entry, and preparation of samples for testing.

You may perform assigned analytical testing and assistance with blood donor registration as needed. Requirements include completing a phlebotomy course or equivalent on-the-job training, at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, and BLS certification

Qualifications

• Completed Phlebotomy course or equivalent on-the-job experience (OJT).
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• BLS certification is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect and receipt of biological specimens, proper entry into the computer system and preparation of samples for analytical testing.
• Distribute specimens to the proper analytical area and/or perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
• May perform duties associated with blood donor registration services.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and a clean, safe work environment.
