Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a professional phlebotomist to obtain quality blood samples for laboratory analysis.

You will perform venipunctures, handle specimens, ensure accuracy in labeling, and support patient care with compassionate communication. The role combines technical duties with advisory responsibilities, requires a phlebotomy program, CPR and certification, and at least three years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program or will graduate within 12 months of hire into role.
• CPR Certification required.
• Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of Phlebotomy experience required.
• Medical Terminology required.
• Familiarity with science courses preferred.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Manual dexterity required.
• Computer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality blood samples for laboratory analysis via venipuncture.
• Handle specimens and ensure proper labeling and data management.
• Provide patient care and act as an advisor in phlebotomy procedures.
